Paws2ClawsUK policy/agreement

Dog walking  and home drop-in visit  client agreement:

 

  • All dogs and cats are required to have an initial meet and greet before any first booking is made. This must take place at least one day before the first booking and will take an average of 15-20 minutes (free of charge)

  • Owners are required to leave us with a contact number where we will be able to reach them or a secondary contact that will be reachable during the walk in the case of an emergency.

  • Dogs and cats must have regular flea treatment and be wormed, with vaccinations up to date, this is due to them traveling in our vehicles and the volume of animals we are seeing.

  • Any vet bills resulting from the dog walk must be covered by the owner or owner's pet insurance, we as a company are not liable for any injuries or illness which may occur during a dog walk.

  • Dogs who exhibit illness prior to a walk will not be taken out of their home.

  • Dogs who show signs of illness or poor health during a walk may be taken to the vet if we feel this is a necessary measure however contact will always be made with the owner first as this will be done at the cost of the owner, Cats and dogs who exhibit illness during a home drop-in visit or sitting service may also be taken to the vet if needed.

  • We will give treats and water during their walk and will be sensitive to their dietary needs.

  • Dogs should be microchipped due to current law.

  • Dogs should have a collar and/or harness, and a lead which we can use.

  • Dogs must not show any signs of aggression towards other dogs or humans, this may result in us permanently excluding your pet from any of our services.

  • Dogs should be trained with good recall to be walked off lead. If a dog has poor recall and cannot be walked off lead this should be stated by the owner before the walk. If your pet was to escape or come to harm as a result of being off the lead at the owner’s request then Paws2Claws will not be held responsible.

  • Dogs will be cleaned as thoroughly as possible at the end of every walk to ensure they are not bringing mud/dirt into your home.

  • As a business, we have the right to refuse any service that we do not feel comfortable offering or any service we feel we cannot provide to our company standards.

  • Any block of walks/drop-ins that we have scheduled to do for you while on holiday/ away from home requires a 25% non-refundable deposit upon booking.

Sitting service agreement:

               

  •  Owners are required to leave us with a contact number where we will be able to reach them or a secondary contact that will be reachable during the walk in the case of an emergency.

  •  Dogs and cats must have regular flea treatment and be wormed, with vaccinations up to date.

  • Any vet bills resulting from the sitting service must be covered by the owner or owner's pet insurance, we as a company are not liable for any illness which may occur during the dog sitting service.

  • Dogs should be microchipped due to current law.

  • Cats and dogs who exhibit illness during a Sitting service may be taken to the vet if necessary. However, contact will always be made with the owner first as this will be done at the cost of the owner.

  •  As a business, we have the right to refuse any service that we do not feel comfortable offering or any service we feel we cannot provide to our company standards.

  •  The onus shall be on the owner to confirm his/her return and his/her availability to resume care of the pet(s) prior to or on the last day of the sitting booking dates. Failing to adhere to this means the sitter may have to stay for an additional period of time in the interest of the pet(s). Any additional visits or duties will be charged.

  • A 25% non-refundable deposit must be paid upon booking our pet sitting services.

  • Our pet sitting services must be paid in full at least 14 days prior to our arrival. If a cancellation is made within 14 days of arrival the full amount is non-refundable. 

  • If full payment is not received at least 14 days in advance then we reserve the right to cancel the pet sitting service and your deposit will be lost.

  • The sitter will perform the duties required to the best of his/her ability in a responsible manner.

  • The sitter accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss or damage to the owner's property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.

  • It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that the property and all personal belongings within the property, during our sitting services, are covered under the owner's home insurance policy.
